//Clay Hand Building

Ages 15+ // BYO Session

Ready to get your hands messy? Our 2-part Clay Hand Building class is a relaxed creative journey where you’ll learn to shape your own ceramics from scratch. No experience required—just a fun, social environment to learn the art of pinch pots, coiling, and slab building.

These adult sessions are for ages 15+ and run for 2.5 hours.

How It Works:
Session 1 (The Build): We’ll guide you through the process of turning raw clay into your own unique creations (think organic mugs, bowls, or trinket dishes). You’ll have 750g of quality clay to work with.

The In-Between: We slowly dry your pieces and run them through their first kiln firing (the bisque fire) so they’re ready for painting. This process takes approximately 2–3 weeks before your second session.

Session 2 (The Paint): Return to the studio to bring your pieces to life! You’ll have full access to our underglazes and tools to decorate your work. Once painted, your finished pieces will be glazed, fired, and ready to collect in another 2–3 weeks.

Pottery Painting

Ages 15+ // BYO Session

The perfect session to let the creativity flow. An ideal date night or time just for you. Our calming studio and small session sizes make pottery painting relaxing and fun, all mixed into one. This is a self-guided session, however, Emma is here and happy to help you. We’ve got all the equipment needed, just bring yourself!

These adult sessions are for 15years+.
We also offer kid sessions during school holidays.

How it Works:
Browse our Bisque Bar (pottery ready for you to paint), choose and pay for your items on the day.

Select your colours, brushes, sponges, etc and start creating!

We’ll add a final gloss glaze and fire it for you, making it food safe too.

Your item will be ready to collect in approx. 2-3 weeks.

We love seeing the younger members of the family fall in love with pottery too!

//Pottery Firing

The Pottery Patch offers a reliable, community‑friendly kiln firing service for local makers who need a trusted space to finish their work. Located in Upper Caboolture, North Brisbane. Whether you’re a hobbyist, student or small‑batch ceramic artist, you can book kiln space for bisque or glaze firings and know your pieces will be handled with care. Our studio uses an electric kiln with consistent, even heat; giving your creations the best chance to shine. Our firing service pricing is done on an individual basis and based on weight and size.
