Wheel Throwing Class for Beginners

🎨 Try the Pottery Wheel for the First Time! 🏺

Always wanted to try pottery wheel throwing? This beginner-friendly two-hour class is the perfect way to get your hands muddy and experience the magic of working with clay on the wheel.

This introductory workshop is a fantastic stand-alone creative experience, or a great way to see if you’d like to continue into a longer wheel throwing course.

✔ $99 per person – Includes a two-hour beginner pottery wheel throwing class.

✔ Small Group Class – Limited to a maximum of 3 people for plenty of hands-on guidance.

✔ Beginner Friendly – No experience needed, just a willingness to try something new.

✔ All Clay Provided – You’ll receive 2kg of clay and the chance to make up to 4 pieces during your session.

✔ Guided Step-by-Step – Learn how to centre your clay, form cylinders, and create simple wheel-thrown shapes.

✔ First Firing Included – We’ll bisque fire your final pieces after they’ve dried.

Want to glaze your pieces? Once your items have dried and been bisque fired, you can book an optional glazing session for $35.

What to bring: Your enthusiasm, a hair tie for long hair, short nails if possible, and comfortable clothes you’re happy to get a little clay on.

Come with no expectations and enjoy the process. Wheel throwing is a mindful, hands-on experience, and we’ll guide you through each step as you explore what it feels like to shape clay on the wheel.

This class is suitable for ages 18+.
